Riviera Travel offer carefully crafted itineraries along the Rhine, Moselle, Main, Danube, Douro, Seine and the Rhône. Their fleet of 5-star ships includes the new MS Geoffrey Chaucer; a luxurious, all-suite ship, which is due to launch in 2020. All of Riviera Travel cruises are hosted by Tour Managers, many of whom have been with Riviera Travel from over ten years, so are able to bring the destination to life with their intimate knowledge.
Cabins and suites are amongst the largest to be found on any river vessels, with all middle and upper deck cabins boasting floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and a French balcony. For an added spot of luxury, you can treat yourself to a deluxe balcony suite, which offer private balconies.
All ships are well-equipped with self-service stations for tea and coffee, wellness areas with saunas, steam rooms, fitness equipment for you to use at your leisure, swimming pools, sun decks with comfortable outdoor chairs and sun loungers, a putting green and of course, a giant chess board!
The service onboard Riviera is first-class with friendly crew who are always ready to tend to your needs. All ships have a good staff to guest ratio; therefore, you are guaranteed attentive service with a personal touch. As well as excellent crew, the hotel manager, cruise director and tour manager are always on hand to go above and beyond the expected.
Quality dining is an integral part of your river cruise experience, with the day’s culinary highlight being the four-course dinner: entrée, soup, main and dessert, all in the elegant ambiance of a first-class restaurant.
It is extremely important to Riviera that you feel comfortable and relaxed on board the ship, so a welcome reception will be held in the lounge for you to meet the other guests, as well as the captain and the crew. Generally, the reception is held on the second night of the tour and is followed by the Welcome Dinner. Towards the end of the cruise, the Captain formally invites you to the prestigious gala dinner, with an extended menu offering six elaborate courses of fine food.
You’ll want to bring your appetite!
