Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises is one of the best-known names in cruising, first setting sail in 1965, with a single ship cruising to Mexico. Today, the line has grown to become the third largest cruise line in the world, renowned for innovative ships, an array of onboard options, and exceptional customer service.

With more than 150 different itineraries to offer, Princess Cruises cover the globe, with sailings to six continents that call at more than 300 ports around the world. Destinations include the Caribbean, Alaska, Panama Canal, Europe, Mexico, South America, Australia/New Zealand, South Pacific, Hawaii, Tahiti/French Polynesia, Asia, India, Africa, Canada/New England and world cruises.

Princess’s 18-ship fleet offer an atmosphere of comfortable elegance, with public spaces designed to feel intimate, even on the largest ships. There are a variety of speciality restaurants onboard, including Kia Sushi, which offers a beautifully authentic Japanese dining experience or for more casual dining, you can enjoy entrees, salads and desserts at Horizon Court.  Many of the activities onboard are inspired by individual itineraries, for example, ukulele lessons in Hawaii or samba dancing in South America. One of the most popular activities onboard is Movies Under the Stars, which operates throughout the day and night showing films, concerts and sporting event such as Rugby, with complimentary fresh-popped popcorn in the evening or cookies and milk during the day.

Princess Cruises have recently taken delivery of the 3,660-guest Sky Princess, the 18th ship to join the fleet. Sky Princess boasts a host of new features that will also be on another sister ship, Enchanted Princess, which launches in Southampton in June 2020. These include two ‘Sky Suites’, which have the largest balconies at sea and are centrally located on the top decks with 270-degree panorama views. New entertainment will feature, including the Phantom Bridge escape room, while an enhanced Princess Theatre will debut productions including ‘Rock Opera’ and ‘5-SKIES’. For the first time, guests will also be able to listen to live performances and enjoy after-parties in a jazz lounge, ‘Take 5’.

2020 will see three ships based in Southampton for the first time as part of Princess Cruises’ biggest European season ever.  They will sail to destinations such as the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands and the Channel Islands.

The Princess Cruises fleet will continue to expand with the launch of Enchanted Princess and three additional ships arriving in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
