Gentle snowy slopes contrasted with rugged mountains and towering cliffs rising from a vast white wilderness. As my eyes adjusted to the pristine environment, the sheer scale and untouched beauty of Antarctica became overwhelming.

During our voyage we experienced:
- Humpback whales surfacing beside the ship, their distinctive exhalations echoing across the water
- Orcas swimming in the distance, instantly recognisable by their striking markings
- Penguin colonies nesting, protecting their eggs, and moving between land and sea
- Penguins swimming gracefully beneath our Zodiac boats and alongside landings
We watched penguins launch themselves into the water with remarkable speed and observed their fascinating behaviours up close. These encounters were both moving and unforgettable.
